On Evil

Today I am only going to post some quotes. It is unfortunate that some religions use the word ‘Evil’ to create fear and to control their membership. And it is also unfortunate that the terms ‘New Age’ and ‘New Order’ has resolved into such a negative sense of understanding. Look around you…aren’t we in need of a new age, a new order in life, filled with greater compassion and goodwill toward humanity?

Quotes:

“What do we mean by the phrase “forces of evil?”  Not the armies of unrighteousness and sinfulness, organized under that figment of imagination, the devil, or some supreme anti-Christ, for such an army does not exist, and there is no great enemy of God, arraigned in battle against the Most High. There is only suffering, erring humanity, still half-awakened, dimly sensing the vision, and struggling to free itself from the thralldom of the past, with its tarnished allegiances and its unchecked loyalties.  The forces of evil are, in the last analysis, only the entrenched ancient ideals and habits of thought which have served their purpose in bringing the race to its present point of development, but which must now disappear if the New Age is to be ushered in as desired.  The old established rhythms, inherent in the old forms of religion, of politics and the social order, must give place to newer ideals, to the synthetic understanding, and to the new order.  The laws and modes of procedure which are characteristic of the New Age must supersede the old, and these will, in time, institute the new social order and the more inclusive regime. ”

– Esoteric Psychology, p 630-631,  by Alice A. Bailey

“Evil is that which can be controlled and subdued but which is permitted to govern.  The positive can always manipulate the negative.  When the negative line is followed and the line of least resistance to that which is no principle, is pursued, then we have evil.”

– A Treatise on Cosmic Fire p 618, by Alice A. Bailey

“Evil itself is but an illusion, for it is the use that is made of motive and opportunity by personality separativeness and selfishness which constitutes evil.  From right motive and the same circumstances good may emerge.”

– Discipleship in the New Age Volume I, p 241-242,  by Alice A. Bailey

God

This is a difficult and touchy subject for many. It shouldn’t be, but it is. Many people think you need to be religious or belong to an organized religion or you can’t possibly believe in God. The truth is, in many cases, belonging to a religious group can hinder your appreciation of the true nature of that great being referred to as God. Many millions of people believe in a higher power but never set foot inside a structure that has been set aside for worshiping God, no matter what the religion may be. And eventually God will openly permeate all aspects of life on our planet, including government, with humanities blessing. However, I, for one, certainly don’t want some religious group’s fanciful notions of who and what God is forced on me. There are some pretty ridicules beliefs out there! Someday there will be a greater measure of understanding within humanity regarding God and He will become universally accepted throughout all of man’s activities.

Let’s be clear on one thing – God exists! He is real! However, there are many facets to the term ‘God’ and many levels of understanding. It has been said that the average Christian prays to their ‘personal god’…that is, the highest aspect of themselves. You see, man is the first level of being that can claim ‘god’ status. God is a creator. Man is also a creator. Although it goes without saying, man is far from perfect; nonetheless, he is a god in the making. Christ refers to this fact in the statement “I have said you are gods” (John 10:34).

Going higher we can say that the informing life of our planet is God – He is the creator of all that lies within His sphere of influence…but that does not include the entire solar system. However perfect our planetary life is to us, He is not perfect when it comes to that great life informing our solar system. He IS God on a much higher plane! Higher than that, we dare not go. Those stupendous lives are so far removed from our small level of existence there is no point in trying to comprehend the nature of life on those tremendously high levels. Life progresses from point to point. We are told there is no beginning and there is no end! As each individual life achieves perfection on its own level – the next highest level is entered and work begins to master that next phase of development – there is no death – only evolutionary life, constantly changing and moving upwards toward the next highest sphere of livingness.

Each life within our solar system, no matter at what level they find themselves, incarnates upon particular streams of energy. There are seven such streams or rays as they are called. One ray of energy is called ‘Love-Wisdom’ – it is said the main characteristic of the informing life of our solar system, God, is upon this particular stream of energy. ‘God is Love’ is a factual statement. Man’s attempt to try and describe, or in any way consider Him as some emotional, vengeful or angry God is absurd! There is only love streaming through Him to us and all lower kingdoms in nature. It is our misunderstanding, misuse, and present attainment upon the ladder of life that limits our ability to respond; to demonstrate in our lives the highest potential of this energy, as individuals and as a race. The perfect life of a Son of God was demonstrated for us in the Person of the Christ. Such is the destiny of us all! At some point in our evolutionary development we will each achieve the state of a perfected human being and thus be permitted to move upward into the next kingdom, and continue our life’s sojourn.

Quotes:

“First and foremost, there must be recognition of the fact of God. That central Reality can be called by any name that man may choose according to his mental or emotional bent, racial tradition and heritage, for it cannot be defined or conditioned by names. Human beings perforce always use names in order to express that which they sense, feel and know, both of the phenomenal and also of the intangible. Consciously or unconsciously, all men recognize God Transcendent and God Immanent. They sense God to be the Creator and the Inspiration of all that is.

The Eastern faiths have ever emphasized God Immanent, deep within the human heart, ” nearer than hands and feet, ” the Self, the One, the Atma, smaller than the small, yet all-comprehensive. The Western faiths have presented God Transcendent, outside His universe, an Onlooker. God transcendent, first of all, conditioned men’s concept of Deity, for the action of this transcendent God appeared in the processes of nature; later, in the Jewish dispensation, God appeared as the tribal Jehovah, as the soul (the rather unpleasant soul) of a nation. Next, God was seen as a perfected man, and the divine God-man walked the Earth in the Person of the Christ. Today we have a rapidly growing emphasis upon God immanent in every human being and in every created form. Today, we should have the churches presenting a synthesis of these two ideas which have been summed up for us in the statement of Shri Krishna in The Bhagavad Gita: “Having pervaded this whole Universe with a fragment of Myself, I remain.” God, greater than the whole, yet God present also in the part; God Transcendent guarantees the plan for our world and is the Purpose, conditioning all lives from the minutest atom, up through all the kingdoms of nature, to man.”

– The Reappearance of the Christ, p 144-145, by Alice A. Bailey

“A new definition of God was given us when the Buddha taught that God was Light and showed us the way of illumination, and when Christ revealed to us that God was Love through His life and service on earth. Today the knowledge aspect of illumination is being comprehended, but the inner meaning of love is only now dimly sensed. Yet light and love have been revealed to the world by two great Sons of God in two Approaches. A new Approach is on the Way, bringing us the next needed truth. We ask ourselves: What will it be? For it, the knowers and lovers of God and their fellowmen are prepared; for it, the masses of men wait.”

Don’t believe everything you hear or read!

There is so much misinformation out there. People post things knowing they are false or believing them to be true. Then these same postings are copied and distributed around the world like they are some truth. It’s unbelievable what is passed on! And never forget that just because you believe something to be true that doesn’t mean it is! And that applies to both religious and political beliefs!

Here is an appropriate statement made by Buddha addressing this issue:

“That we must not believe in a thing said merely because it is said; nor traditions because they have been handed down from antiquity; nor rumors, as such; nor writings by sages, because sages wrote them; nor fancies that we may suspect to have been inspired in us by a Deva (that is, in presumed spiritual inspiration); nor from inferences drawn from some haphazard assumption we may have made; nor because of what seems an analogical necessity; nor on the mere authority of our teachers or masters. But we are to believe when the writing, doctrine, or saying is corroborated by our own reason and consciousness. “For this,” says he in concluding, “I taught you not to believe merely because you have heard, but when you believed of your consciousness, then to act accordingly and abundantly.”

Serving God

Serving God is a commitment from the heart and it takes a rare individual to do so in a public setting, while remaining free from the material trappings of their position. The job demands a responsible man or woman, one with a focused purpose and loving heart. But as we know, all too often there is abuse. I am specifically referring to church clergy, especially those that have set up churches to teach their followers what they believe (note that wording – what they believe!). If the head of your church is living in a mansion and flying around in a private jet you should run for the hills! At least find another church. If you proclaim you are serving God and are taking in more than the minimum required to live in your community, you are a fraud! There are no ifs, ands, or buts about it! You are not serving God. You are interested in material riches and serving yourself.

I once had a devout Christian tell me that God doesn’t want you to be poor. WHAT? First of all God doesn’t focus his attention on your emotional level, your desires or material longings. To think He cares how much money you have it about as naïve as you can get. Contrary to what many people claiming to be Christian believe and state, you can’t be focused up and down at the same time (of course since you are living on this plane you have to tend to your material duties – but that doesn’t require focusing your attention toward acquiring material wealth). Either you are orientated toward your spiritual life or your material one, but not both. And it irks me to no end when these people twist statements in the bible to justify their actions and ends.

Look around you. If you see people getting rich off of their religion they are not to be trusted. PERIOD! And in this country there are many of these individuals and groups. Churches are supposed to help people with their spiritual needs and tend to those who need assistance; food, shelter, and clothing etc. There isn’t any excuse for anyone, especially children, in this country to go hungry. And yet they are. These clergy, many of them public figures, should be ashamed of themselves!

There are also those high profile people using their religious status to garner trust in their statements. They are quick to criticize and try to manipulate public opinion, all for the sake of making money off of their contrived controversy. It’s reprehensible! Shame on you!

Quote:

“Just as money has been in the past the instrument of men’s selfishness, now it must be the instrument of their goodwill.”

Heaven? Hell?

Neither heaven nor hell exists, at least the versions spoken of, and believed in, by Christians. I find it amazing that even when religious people believe they are going to heaven, they are scared to death to die. They are also extremely upset when a loved one dies, even when that person lives a long life. Why? They believe that they and their loved one are going to heaven, so shouldn’t they be happy? Of course, I’m not forgetting about the fact that the person who died will be missed, and that causes true sadness. But that is sadness for our loss, not theirs, if it is truly believed the departed are going to a better place. Eventually, it will be recognized that there isn’t any such thing as death in reality for anybody (not just those claiming religious superiority). And the day will come when we rejoice when a loved one departs this world because we will have a greater understanding of life’s process.

Hades means ‘place of death’, which it certainly is to the spiritual soul of man. When you descent into the darkness of the dense physical world and take a body, you are entering hell, viewed from the angle of the highest aspect of man, his spiritual soul, the father. Ancient translations and erroneous interpretations continue to plague Christianity, depriving its followers of a glimpse into the beautiful world of life. The focus needs to change from one of sin and crucifixion to that of life and resurrection.

So let’s talk about the reality of these two places, heaven and hell. With few exceptions, everyone on the planet is going to hell. What? I just said hell didn’t exist! The only hell you will ever know is right here on Earth, in a dense physical body, and it is an adequate one. You will return here many times until you have completed your evolution in this kingdom. People use the word reincarnation for that process but it can be more accurately represented by the term ‘rebirth’. You will be born here again and again until you achieve the heightened vibration that is required to enter the next kingdom.

Once you have put in your time on this plane you will transfer into heaven – everyone, without exception! Heaven can be referred to as the next highest kingdom in nature – as wonderfully different from life in the human kingdom and our life is from the animal kingdom. The plane of life is more correctly termed ‘The Kingdom of Souls’. And as I stated, everyone will get there in due time. No two people evolve in the same way at the same rate. We all have different experiences, some learning faster or slower than others, which accounts for the vast variances between people within humanity. There aren’t any privileged groups on the planet that have an early special entrance into this next world of life. None! There are, however, older souls and younger ones, all working toward salvation for themselves and for humanity as a whole.

And getting into the next kingdom of nature doesn’t complete our evolutionary journey. It is said there isn’t any end to the evolutionary process. So we will all evolve into higher states of being forever…however, I have heard it said – forever is simply a phase of something greater! How can that be? Forever is forever, right? Well, forever equates to time, and in the higher planes time isn’t, it has been left behind. Time exists so the brain can chronologically arrange events. Later you will exist in what has been called ‘the eternal now’, and a dense physical brain isn’t required.

Life is. God is. You will always be. Have faith in the beauty of life! It is wonderful beyond our wildest imagination!

Quote:

“The spirit of man is undying; it forever endures, progressing from point to point and stage to stage upon the Path of Evolution, unfolding steadily and sequentially the divine attributes and aspects.  This truth involves necessarily the recognition of two great natural laws; the Law of Rebirth and the Law of Cause and Effect.  The churches in the West have refused officially to recognize the Law of Rebirth and have thereby wandered into a theological impasse and into a cul-de-sac from which there is no possible exit.  The churches in the East have over-emphasized these laws so that a negative, acquiescent attitude to life and its processes, based on continuously renewed opportunity, controls the people.  Christianity has emphasized immortality but has made eternal happiness dependent upon the acceptance of a theological dogma: Be a true professing Christian and live in a somewhat fatuous heaven or refuse to be an accepting Christian, or a negative professional Christian, and go to an impossible hell – a hell growing out of the theology of The Old Testament and its presentation of a God, full of hate and jealousy.  Both concepts are today repudiated by all sane, sincere, thinking people.  No one of any true reasoning power or with any true belief in a God of love accepts the heaven of the churchmen or has any desire to go there.  Still less do they accept the “lake that burneth with fire and brimstone” (Rev. XIX:20) or the everlasting torture to which a God of love is supposed to condemn all who do not believe in the theological interpretations of the Middle Ages, of the modern fundamentalists or of the unreasoning churchmen who seek – through doctrine, fear, and threat – to keep people in line with the obsolete old teaching.  The essential truth lies elsewhere.  “Whatsoever a man soweth that shall he also reap” (Gal. VI:7) is a truth which needs re-emphasizing.  In these words, St. Paul phrases for us the ancient and true teaching of the Law of Cause and Effect, called in the Orient the Law of Karma.

The immortality of the human soul, and the innate ability of the spiritual, inner man to work out his own salvation under the Law of Rebirth, in response to the Law of Cause and Effect, are the underlying factors governing all human conduct and all human aspiration.  These two laws no man can evade.  They condition him at all times until he has achieved the desired and the designed perfection and can manifest on earth as a rightly functioning son of God.”

Evolution? Creation?

Evolution? Creationism? The argument rages on. The fact of the matter is both sides have their basis in reality but are incorrect in detail and presentation. The ensouling life of our solar system, God, is real and within the sphere of His being He has created all there is. It is within this sphere we live, move and have our being…and evolve as units of life. The term ‘Evolution’, as presently understood by the vast majority, leaves room for much question and doubt…again lacking in detail and presentation. We did, in fact, evolve from the animal kingdom, and the plant and mineral kingdoms before that!

Two things need to be emphasized.

1. God does exist! (But He is not the vengeful emotional God that most Christians tout.)

2. Evolution is a fact! (Evolution and Creationism are not mutually exclusive terms.)

The human kingdom is but one kingdom of evolving life on the planet. Darwinism touches, in part, upon the truth of evolution but fails to recognize the divinity of the life aspect dwelling within each form. Evolution proceeds through all the kingdoms in nature, progressing from one level of being into the next over ions of time. Life is an evolutionary spiraling upwards, forever moving forward and onward into successive kingdoms. A process, we are told, without beginning or end. As a spark of life completes evolution in a given kingdom, they are liberated into a greater life expression within the next higher kingdom, and begin their evolutionary progress once again, but on a higher turn of the spiral.

It may seem silly to think that we, as evolving units of life now in the human kingdom, used to be evolving units within the mineral kingdom, but such is the case. And although it is not a generally accepted concept, a single small atom of matter has consciousness, even though that consciousness is so far removed from our own as to be incomprehensible to us. There is no such thing as inorganic matter – all is life from the tiniest unit ensouling an atom up to and beyond those stupendous lives ensouling planetary and solar bodies. The life within the form evolves and progresses through the forms used in each kingdom, always expanding their conscious life in newer, better, forms that are able to accept the vibratory activity of that sphere of life.

Can you even begin to imagine the kingdoms of life that exist above the human? The kingdom of souls is said to be next – the so called Heaven spoken of by Christians. All units of life, in due time, will pass through this kingdom and move onward, not just those claiming special privilege. Of that life we as yet know nothing. But we can surmise that it would be as wonderfully different from us as we are from a dog. Vast stellar systems are ensouled by units of life so far evolved as to be unimaginable by us. They too passed through the human kingdom in the far distant past.

One day it will become right and necessary to present both Creativity and Evolution in our schools. The cleavage between the Creationists and those firmly entrenched on the side of Evolution will gradually disappear. And then all of humanity will be free to evolve into higher states of awareness using education as an added tool. People will consciously aid in the effort of evolving within the life of God. As these ideas are presented they will bring about a re-alignment in thinking, a reorientation toward that which is important, promoting a greater understanding and appreciation of man’s place and role in the vast scheme of things. Individuals will come to realize that regardless of the level of life expression of the unit, all units exist within that great creative life we call God, and should be treated accordingly.

The following poem is appropriate here:

A fire-mist and a planet,
A crystal and a cell,
A jelly-fish and a saurian,
And caves where the cave-men dwell;
Then a sense of law and beauty,
And a face turned from the clod–
Some call it Evolution,
And others call it God.

Like tides on a crescent sea-beach
When the moon is new and thin,
Into our hearts high yearnings
Come welling and surging in:
Come from the mystic ocean
Whose rim no foot has trod–
Some of us call it longing,
And others call it God.

A picket frozen on duty,
A mother starved for her brood,
Socrates drinking the hemlock,
And Jesus on the rood;
And millions who, humble and nameless,
The straight, hard pathway plod–
Some call it Consecration,
And others call it God.

– William Herbert Carruth

Quote:

“The word ‘spiritual’ does not refer to religious matters, so-called.  All activity which drives the human being forward toward some form of development – physical, emotional, mental, institutional, social – if it is in advance of his present state is essentially spiritual in nature and is indicative of the livingness of the inner divine entity.  The spirit of man is undying; it forever endures, progressing from point to point and stage to stage upon the Path of Evolution, unfolding steadily and sequentially the divine attributes and aspects.”

– Education in the New Age, by Alice A. Bailey

Right Human Relations

How many of you have heard the term ‘Right Human Relations?’ For the purpose of this article we will stick with the physical meaning of this term and leave the more subtle interpretations for another time. Right Human Relations implies certain characteristics within its meaning: cooperation, goodwill, customer service, trust and sharing, to name a few.

Try using these words in the context of our everyday life here in America, where our political system is broken and large corporations control our society from top to bottom. Difficult, if not down right impossible, isn’t it? The greed, manipulation, add-on fees, reduced product, contracts, exclusive club cards, and outright corporate arrogance is beyond belief! And we are leading the rest of the world by example. This way of life is absolutely unsustainable. Eventually, this house of cards will tumble down, it is inevitable. Hopefully, we will see some radical changes, in humanities favor, begin to take place within the next dozen years or so.

For all its differences, humanity is one big family. Not recognizing this fact is one of the causes of society’s unrest. Actions and attitudes that are plainly undertaken for the sole purpose of selfishness and gain do nothing but foster hate and breed resentment. The material life keeps impeding humanities evolutionary progress. We are manipulated through our desire for money and material possession. Those things are not why we are here. They are of fleeting value and not important in the long term. The vast majority of people have no idea as to the true nature of life, even its most basic terms. If they realized they are not here once and that is it…most believe that this present existence is the sum total of their livingness on this plane. It is not! The statement is often made that our children will inherit the mess we are creating…WE are our children! Think about that for a moment – we will be returning to this plane, again and again. How do we want to leave it? Right human relations are the means to achieve a happier life in the present and it is the only way to achieve it in the future. Conflicts over territory, religion, material possession, energy and water expose the worse man has to offer. There are plenty of resources in the world for everybody to live a prosperous life materially, allowing humanity to focus on more spiritual pursuits, and thus help humanity evolve into the higher realms of living.

The evolution of humanity has been moving from individual awareness to group awareness. Thus emphasis is shifting to corporations and other groups. The power, if you will, is being focused in these groups and as is evident in many cases, it is being abused! This will gradually change as man re-orients himself in his newfound position to that which is important, again that being right human relations. Is it so difficult to understand that if you treat someone well they will return the goodwill energy? That applies to groups as well as individuals. If focus is on money and not the well-being of your fellow man there can only be one outcome, failure! Sure, in the short term you might consider yourself successful because you are bringing in lots of money, but that is hardly the case. Money is not the be-all-end-all of life in this world. The soul of humanity is unselfish, is giving, all pervasive love. It will triumph over the material at every turn, it only takes time and once humanity has further awakened the truth will be revealed.

Another unfortunate outcome of this change can be found in our educational systems. The focus is again on money. Our young adults are being taught how to seek that which is not important. Even after the disastrous financial crisis we have just experienced the status quo is back in command. And it can be noted that many companies are going about business just they did before, and in many cases much more sneakily. It probably won’t be long before another, perhaps more devastating, financial crisis is upon us. Until we change our focus and orientation that is inevitable. Students need to be educated, not trained on how to make money. Of course, the curriculum for their study leaves much to discuss.

Cooperation and harmlessness begins with the individual. Groups are made up of individuals and the strength and power of public opinion can not be underestimated. When enough people demand change through their daily habitual living, change will eventuate. What happens when people refuse to buy a product? If people stopped doing business with those that have ridicules contracts what would that business have to do? The answers to these questions are obvious – the company would have to make changes to go along with the will of the people. It’s pretty simple in theory but or course difficult in practice, especially since many major corporations have restricted our choices, many times through political manipulation. If a company has a good product, or a necessary one, with a reasonable price and was focused on their customers, rather than money, why would a customer choose to go elsewhere? The fact is they wouldn’t. I want to point out that earning money to enable a company to continue its life and serve its customers is not the same thing as focusing all its energy on making the most money possible.

Right Human Relations doesn’t mean it is mandatory to have a close family relationship simply because it is family. It doesn’t mean you have to create relationships of any kind that are contrary to your beliefs or way of life. It means that whatever interactions you with anyone on any level, whether that is personal, business, as a consumer or in any other capacity, you engage in that relationship with the highest of intentions and ethical behavior. Harmlessness in all your dealings! Right Human Relations begin with each and every one of us and we all need to get better at it so we can truly change the world, for us and our children.

Quotes:

“The characteristics of the man immersed in form life and under the rule of matter are fear, individualism, competition and greed.  These have to give place to spiritual confidence, co-operation, group awareness and selflessness.”

– The Labours of Hercules, by Alice A. Bailey

 ***********

“The race faces a new crisis of opportunity wherein new values can be seen as important, wherein the establishing of right human relations will be deemed desirable, not only from the idealistic point of view but also from the purely selfish angle. Some day the principles of cooperation and of sharing will be substituted for those of possessive greed and competition. This is the inevitable next step ahead for humanity – one for which the entire evolutionary process has prepared mankind.”

– Problems of Humanity, p-13, by Alice A. Bailey

Back to My Blog Soon

Sorry for not keeping up with my blog these past couple of months. Aside from ‘life’ issues I have been working on my new novel. I hope to have it published some time this summer – The Dragon is Awake.

I will try to get my next blog post article out long before then.

Thanks for your patience!

Life after Death?

Do you believe in life after death – reincarnation? Existing after the body dies helps explain a lot. Evolving through the human kingdom from one life to the next would account for the great disparity among human units around the world. The truth is there isn’t any such thing as death. There is only life in its entire varied splendor. And that applies to all units of life on the planet, from atoms within dense matter up through and including the plant and animal kingdoms. There aren’t any groups of people or units of life within any kingdom of nature, including the human, that has a monopoly on eternal life.

Yes, it is true the physical form we inhabit will at some point become unable to support our life force and die. Then the indwelling life (our true being) is released, we don’t cease to exist, except in this world at that time. We live on. We continue to live upon more subtle planes until the call comes for our soul (the real life) to incarnate again. Then we take up existence on this dense physical plane once more, evolving into ever higher beings in each succeeding life; learning and growing from where we left off in our last life. It has been said that we are ‘more dead’ now than we ever will be! The subtler planes being composed of less dense matter provides for a greater livingness for our constantly evolving souls.

Death is one of the greatest illusions surrounding mankind. Fear of the unknown, lack of scientific proof, and the pain of involuntary change all add their quota to that surrounding fog. But that is all it is, fog! When the veil is lifted all that remains is ever changing and ever evolving life. There is nothing else! Always fresh beginnings and new starts, another chance to do better; to move forward into ever expanding rings of livingness. You will experience rebirth again and again, striving for a greater measure of perfection each time. And there isn’t any loss of identity or memory after death. We retain everything, even though separation has occurred from the dense physical form.

As our attitude changes toward the subject of death, as it most assuredly will, so will the fear and uncertainty that surrounds it. Each night when you sleep you die to this plane. When you leave the physical form upon the ‘death’ of that form you simply leave this plane for a longer period of time. You are alive and active elsewhere.

Erroneous teaching about heaven and hell has hindered humanity down through the ages from learning the true nature of death. There isn’t any hell! Life on this plane is the only hell you will ever know, and it suffices to be an adequate one. Descent by the soul into a dense physical form, with all its limitations, is true death and hell to the spiritual nature of man. Dying from this dense world is liberation and entrance into greater life. As the individual progresses in one form after another his/her attitude will eventually change and the prospect of death will no longer hold any fear. And then he/she can truly begin to live!

Appropriate quote:

“Have perseverance as one who doth for evermore endure. Thy shadows live and vanish; that which in thee shall live forever, that which in thee knows, for it is knowledge, is not of fleeting life; it is the man that was, that is, and will be, for whom the hour shall never strike.”

– The Voice Of The Silence #138, by H. P. Blavatsky
